Our Suity travel suitcase is ready to take us far away... destination Japan!
✨ With the eTwinning project, we embarked on an exciting virtual journey to discover a fascinating country, where tradition and innovation meet in surprising ways. We admired spectacular landscapes and learned about ancient customs, immersing ourselves in a culture rich in history and meaning. We discovered traditional festivals such as Kodomo no Hi and Hanami and were enchanted by the magic of Kamishibai.
We visited extraordinary places such as the majestic Himeji Castle and the moving Children's Peace Monument. And that's not all: we even interviewed a robot 🤖 to find out how Japan is at the forefront of technology!

Dots of Imagination: A Digital Journey into Kusama’s Universe
Our young artists stepped into the magical world of Yayoi Kusama, the visionary Japanese artist famous for transforming simple dots into extraordinary universes. Inspired by her playful patterns, bold colors and endless creativity, the children created their own unique artworks using spots, shapes and imagination.
Their vibrant creations came together in a special digital gallery, filled with color, creativity and wonder.

We dressed our models to create a geisha and a samurai!
Each school created the accessory for one of the models by different techniques, then put its photo on the slide of the collaborative tool (Adobe express video) and on the model, dressing it!

Legends are more than old stories — they are mirrors of a culture’s Heart.
In Japan, myths and folk tales carry deep values that shaped social behavior, art, and even modern culture.
We focus on Loyalty, Honor and Courage and explore iconic legends that are the moral spine of Samurai ethics. For centuries, tales passed down orally and in writing taught people how to live, act, and sacrifice.
These three values rise above all others in these stories: Loyalty (Chūgi), Honor (Meiyo), and Courage (Yūki).
These virtues shaped the samurai code (Bushidō) and still echo in modern Japanese society today.
We collected a series of famous Japanese myths and created a collaborative ebook, its illustrations made by our students!

We traveled to Tokyo to meet our geisha, samurai and... who knows who else?
We gave life to the geisha and the samurai!

In our sixth student meeting, the kids set off on a special adventure… destination: Japan! 🗾
Using Google Earth, we explored some extraordinary places: modern Tokyo with its lights and robots 🤖, the beautiful cherry blossoms 🌸, the majestic Mount Fuji 🗻 and the magical bamboo forest 🎋.
We discovered fascinating traditions, such as the Hanami festival, and immersed ourselves in the colours and flavours of Japanese cuisine 🍣🍜. There was also a special moment dedicated to peace, with the Children’s Peace Monument 🕊️.
And to round it all off… an exciting surprise: a meeting with a geisha and a samurai, who spoke to us! 🎎🗡️.
