Project X: Puzzle Worlds — Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026
Applies to: Version 0.5.1, the initial ad-free TestFlight beta
Developer: Gary Michael Kemp

Your game progress
Project X does not require an account. Puzzle progress, stars, rewards, lives, preferences, and reminder settings are saved on your device. The game does not upload these saved files to a developer-operated server.
The app keeps local recovery copies to help protect progress against interrupted or damaged saves. Your device’s backup settings may also include app data.
Advertising
This beta does not display advertisements or use advertising SDKs to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. We do not sell personal information. We will update this policy before introducing advertising or changing how the app handles personal information.
Optional reminders
Pip’s reminders are optional and require notification permission. They are scheduled locally on your device. You can turn reminders off in the game’s settings or disable notifications for Project X in iPhone Settings. Declining reminders does not affect your ability to play.
TestFlight information
Apple automatically collects crash reports and beta usage information through TestFlight and shares information with the developer. This can include app and device details, installation and session information, and crash logs. Depending on how you joined the beta, it may include your name and email address.
Feedback you submit through TestFlight, including comments and screenshots, is also shared with the developer. We use this information to investigate problems and improve Project X. We do not share TestFlight reports with third parties.
Apple’s automatic TestFlight reporting cannot be disabled while participating in the beta. You can stop participating through TestFlight.
Apple explains its practices here:

Contacting support
If you email us, we receive your email address and any information or attachments you send. We use this information to respond, investigate reported problems, and improve the game. Our email provider processes messages for delivery and storage. Please avoid sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
Retention and deletion
Local game data remains on your device until removed. Reset Progress starts a new game but may retain local recovery copies. To remove the app and its locally stored data, use Delete App in iPhone Settings. Offloading the app keeps its data. Device backups are managed separately through your backup settings.
We retain support messages and any copies of beta reports only for as long as needed to handle the request, investigate the issue, or meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize them. Apple manages information retained within TestFlight under its own policy.
You can contact whatduckgame@gmail.com to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold. We may need to verify your request. We cannot remotely access or erase your local game saves.
Children’s information
We do not ask children to provide personal information in the game. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information through support or feedback, please contact us to request its removal.
Policy updates
We will publish changes on this page and update the effective date. Material changes to data collection will be disclosed before they take effect, with permission requested where required.
