Updates

Hello Band Families!

We are two weeks away from getting things kicked off for the 2026 edition of the WGH Raider Marching Band!  We start on Monday, July 6th with Freshmen, Seniors, and all Drumline, Flagline, and Majorette members.  The entire band starts reporting on Wednesday, July 8th.

Some reminders: 

• Band Camp is the week of July 27 - July 31 with the preview show being that Friday evening. Attendance at Band Camp is mandatory.

• Please click here to login to Final Forms and complete all the information ASAP (your student will need to do so as well).  

• Marching band is a graded semester course that begins the first day of Summer Band and ends in November.  Unexcused absences and tardiness will affect your student's grade.  In order to request an excused absence, you must send an email to both Mr. Young and Ms. Sirney.

• Attached is a Calendar for July and August as well as the Summer Band Bussing routes and times.  For the rest of the season, the Band Calendar can be found on the band website, and marching band report times are listed as the start times for each event.  The band calendar can also be synced to your phone calendar for easier access!

• Attached is a flyer for a Band Booster Event on July 4th.  The Boosters are looking for both adults and students to help out with concessions at the Packard Band Concert.  Please see the attachment for more details including how to sign up to volunteer.
