Warren G. Harding Directors
Reid Young
Director of Bands
Reid Young is the current Director of Bands at Warren G. Harding High School. Under his direction, the Harding Bands regularly perform at district and state level Ohio Music Education Association events. At Warren G. Harding High School, he conducts the Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Freshman Band, and Jazz Ensemble 1, and teaches AP Music Theory. He is an active performer on bassoon and saxophone with several local ensembles including the Greenville Symphony, W.D. Packard Concert Band, and the Big Band Sound of Packard. Mr. Young earned his bachelor of music education from Youngstown State University and has previously taught in Indiana and Pennsylvania. He is an active member of the Ohio Music Education Association and is currently serving as the OMEA District 5 President-Elect.
Heather Sirney
Assistant Director
Heather Sirney is the Assistant Director of Bands at Warren G. Harding High School. As one of the music teachers at the high school, her teaching responsibilities include Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Freshmen Band, Jazz Ensemble 1, Jazz Ensemble 2, and Music Technology. Ms. Sirney is active within the OMEA District 5 organization as one of the co-chairs of the High School Honors Band and the webmaster of the District 5 website. She received her education at Youngstown State University, earning a Bachelor of Music Education and continued at YSU as a graduate assistant within the band department while earning a Master of Music with a conducting emphasis. Ms. Sirney previously taught music at Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown and band at Huntingdon Area High School in Huntingdon, PA.
Middle School Directors
John Fitch - Jefferson Band Director
John Fitch earned his bachelor’s degree in music education from Youngstown State University. While in his college years, he served as drum major for three years for the YSU Marching Pride. Mr. Fitch has also played euphonium in recordings for the Ludwig Music Publishing Company. He has performed at the Midwest Regional Tuba and Euphonium Conference. In addition to that, he is a long term member of the Lowellville Mt. Carmel band where he plays euphonium. Mr. Fitch currently teaches 5th - 8th grade bands and also teaches general music at the elementary level.
Kevin Kifer - Lincoln Band Director
Kevin Kifer earned a bachelor’s degree in music education/percussion from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati and a master’s degree in music education from Youngstown State University. At the college level, he has served on the drumline staff for the UC “Bearcat” Marching band and as the drumline advisor and arranger for the Kent State University “Golden Flashes” Marching Band and the Youngstown State University “Marching Pride.” Mr. Kifer is a member of the worship team at North-Mar Church in Warren, OH where he plays drumset and bass guitar. He has performed in several area musicals and various rock, jazz, and blues bands.
Kailey Hall - McGuffey Band Director
Kailey Hall earned her bachelor’s degree in music education and master’s degree in music performance from Youngstown State University. She has performed in numerous ensembles including the W.D. Packard Band and the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra. Along with performance experience, she has been teaching in various forms for years, including teaching private lessons, coaching sections with area marching bands and ensembles, and previous long-term subbing. Mrs. Hall currently teaches elementary general music and the 6th-8th grade bands.
Sabrina Torres-Feeney - Willard Band Director
Sabrina Torres-Feeney has spent her entire teaching career in the Warren City Schools. Over her career, she has served as a flagline advisor for various high schools in the area including the WGH Raider Marching Band as well as LaBrae, Girard, Garretsville, and Southington. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education in 1991 and her Masters in Education in 1997, both at Youngstown State University. Ms. Feeney currently conducts 5th - 8th grade bands and teaches elementary general music.
