Becoming a member

Membership of Westmorland Croquet Club offers excellent value, and is by annual subscription. The fee for 2026 is £120. Reductions apply for new members joining the club during the season [from June onwards]; do please contact us for details.

Anyone may join, whether an absolute beginner or having a level of playing experience of the game.

Being a member

• You will have use of the lawns daily through the Levens Hall opening season

• You will be able to take part in club competitions

• You will be able to play for teams in the Cumbria and North West England region leagues

• You will be able to learn and develop your game in the company of other club members

Golf croquet has guaranteed use of both full lawns on Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon. On other sessions the full lawns may be shared in such a way that both GC and AC games both have access to a full lawn, according to demand.

The Short Lawn is available every day: just turn up, no need to book. AC coaching [Come and Try Association Croquet sessions] takes priority.

The Club Calendar carries regularly updated details of when full lawns have been pre-booked for club competition AC matches and for league matches and other club events.

From 2022 there has been a further category of membership, Associate Member, for former members who wish to continue to visit and associate with the club, but no longer wish to play.
