Western Guilford High School offers the prestigious AP Capstone program, a rigorous diploma program that equips students with the independent research, collaborative teamwork, and communication skills needed for college and career success.
To receive an AP Capstone Diploma, students must:

AP Seminar (typically taken in 11th grade)
AP Research (typically taken in 12th grade)
Earn Scores of 3 or Higher:
Students must earn a score of 3 or higher on both the AP Seminar and AP Research exams.
Earn Scores of 3 or Higher on Four Additional AP Exams:
In addition to the two Capstone courses, students must take and earn scores of 3 or higher on four other AP exams in any subject.
The program includes two courses: AP Seminar (Taken during Junior Year) and AP Research (taken during Senior Year). In these courses, students explore complex real-world issues and develop in-depth research projects. Every student in AP Capstone must take these two courses.
