Lead Volunteer Report
Many thanks to all leaders, parents and carers who have helped and supported the Group this past year. Major thanks to Duncan who continues to act as our Treasurer.
A special thanks to the West Kirk, whose church hall we use as our Group base. This is an excellent facility, and without its use we would struggle to be such a successful small group.
we have maintained a section membership of approximately 60 children and young people across all sections
Matt has joined us as section assistant in Beavers, and he and Mhairi plan the evening programme supported by David
Cub leadership has remained stable throughout the year
Denise stood back from scouts and Jim is currently supporting Debby, James and Maddison in running the evening programme. Maddison has decided that she wants to undertake the training to become a section leader
we have a partnership agreement with the Catwelders Explorer Unit who meet at the Community Garden and this is working well
as we move from an Executive Committee to a Board of Trustees, Jim is Acting Chair (we are recruiting a full-time chair) and we are recruiting parent representatives from each of our sections
we continue to be in a stable financial position, having done our best to restrict expenditure over the past year
Thanks again to all involved.

Scout Section Report
The scout section meets at the West Kirk Church Hall (our main base) on Thursday evenings from 7.00-8.30pm.
The running of the section is supported by Jim, Debby, James (section assistants) and Madison (young leader).
All leaders have completed scout association training and Madison plans to become a section assistant.
At the time of writing we have 18 young members.
Every six months we hold a ‘scout council’, where scouts can plan their programme.
Before the summer break they all completed their photography badge.
During this term their programme includes the local knowledge badge, chef’s badge and camp cooking, wide game and a scary ghost story at the community garden (it was scary), hobbies, astronomer and Remembrance events.
Many thanks to all leaders and parents for their support. As ever, we would welcome any parents or adults (18+) who want to become leaders or support the section in its programme.
