Gift Aid Permission

Gift Aid allows us as a charity to claim the basic rate of tax paid by you on your membership subscriptions. Gift Aid increases what we receive in membership fees by 25%. 

When you allow us to claim Gift Aid on your subscription, you agree that you would like the 18th West Lothian (West Calder) Scout Group, Charity Number SC047301, to treat your membership subscription / donation as a Gift Aid donation from the date of the completion of the form and for the previous six financial periods (if applicable).

Notes

1. You must pay an amount of income tax or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax we reclaim on the payments (currently 25p for every £1 you give)

2. You can cancel this declaration at anytime by notifying the Scout Group (email: 18thwestlothian@gmail.com)

3. Please notify the scout group if you change your name or address

4. If you pay tax at the higher rate you may be able to claim further tax relief via your self-assessment tax return.
