The intent of this Project is to challenge our knowledge on both design and build aspects. We are tasked to build a mouse trap car with given materials to be judged on the following aspects: Longest Distance, Fastest Travel, Mechanical Ingenuity, Best Design. The only materials available are mousetraps, plywood, dowels, bearings, and strings. It was encouraged to use a 3D printer to make additional parts such as bearings and hubs. We are also encouraged to try newly bought laser cutters to make our design more intricate and complex.

Solidworks Assembly
Initial Assembly to see if parts fit
I played around with the wheel after being laser cut and it snapped.
I was curious as to what was wrong with the structural integrity so I ran a Stress Test assembly and it came out with lots of red.
I remodeled the wheel and tested it again and it was much better.
Improved wheels with hubs hot glued
Image of changes made to the mousetrap and arm dowel. Black= Cut off by snips. Red= Drilled holes to fit metal bars
