Values

Introduction>

I have this new section for the site that I will build out over time. Providing value clarification to our students, staff, and parents supports the Positive Psychology approach to wellness. Virtues organize the Character Strengths. Virtues connect to values. Without going further on the difference between the two, I provide resources below to help our community members grow their self-knowledge regarding their values.

The Schwartz Value Wheel provides ten universal l values that you can rank in importance in your life. Positive Psychology provides further details to use the wheel and they also offer questionnaires for measuring values.  

I put this values list together and worked with high school students to provide multiple language versions in a workshop entitled "Parenting in the Digital Age." You can copy and try the activity I designed for parents to choose their family values with their children.
