Reconstruction of Scotholme works in Gauntley Street after fire in March 1977 by SOL Construction in Colwick and architects Goodwin, Warner & Associates at Loughborough, and engineers Shepherd Gilmour Partnership in Leicester. Source Nottingham Evening post dated 22nd March 1977. The brick building in the foreground was on the right as soon as you went through the double white gates on the left at the beginning of Gauntley St with the building at the back running parallel to Gauntley St

Original white wide double swing gates to W&W Scotholme factory. On the left were in 1950s offices with double doors in the middle and doors either end. Straight ahead at the end were two large buildings holding two large boilers that power the Scotholme plant. Originally coal converted to run on gas?

Picture through the main gate. On the right as you went in the gate was the new factory reconstructed by SOL construction for yarn processing and further behind the old original brick factory for dyeing.
