The Archives serves as a unique combination of a gift shop and a museum. Entering the shop, guests are immediately surrounded by models of Disney attractions, all of them protected by glass cases. In between merchandise shelves, framed concept art for attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, the Haunted Mansion, and Jungle Cruise hangs on the walls. In fact, if you look closely, you'll notice that even the wallpaper of the store is composed of concept art!
If you're not too busy looking around at all the models and concept art, you have a large selection of merchandise to choose from here. Shelves are stocked with books about Imagineering and theme park design. Quirky t-shirts and hats hang on coatracks and hatracks. You can also buy sketchpads and writing instruments, just in case you get inspired to start designing a Disneyland attraction of your own.
Whether you're going inside to buy something or just to look around, you'll definitely find something to like about The Archives.
