WED Works is a new shopping/dining/recreational establishment that can satisfy guests of all backgrounds. Unique merchandise. Delicious customizable foods. Miniature golf. Relics from the resort's past. And all themed around classic & contemporary Imagineering. The respectfully handled engagement with Disneyland history will appeal to Parks buffs, while the offered activities can attract casual guests more than a simple Archives exhibit would (no shade intended towards Walt Disney Archives, of course).
This multilevel complex—which resembles a large version of the old WED Enterprises building, pointy entry and all—stands on the site that formerly held Downtown Disney mainstays like AMC Theatres, Sugarboo, and that other smaller Starbucks. Plus, as a bonus benefit, this location makes it one of the first things guests see when they utilize the Downtown Disney entrance, be it from the parking lot, the parking structures, or the Disneyland and Pixar Place Hotels.
