Webster Resources

Many resources will require that you have a campus ID. Simply visit Public Safety to obtain a campus ID. For help finding buildings on the Webster Groves campus, please consult the Campus Map.

Webster University Academic and Support Resources

  • School of Education Resources for Students - Many of the important deadlines and forms pertaining to School of Education classes and programs may be found here.
  • Emerson Library - In addition to the on-campus holdings, Emerson Library has numerous materials available online. Be certain to check their hours before visiting. For specific questions about the library, contact one of the library staff.
    • For quick access to specific resources like the Oxford English Dictionary, the New York Times, and Lexis-Nexis Academic, use the quick links drop down menu on the Articles & Databases page.
    • If you cannot find a resource in the Emerson Library, try a MOBIUS Search to find it at another academic library in Missouri.
    • To request books outside of Missouri Libraries, use the Illiad service through Emerson Library.
    • You may also search the growing list of eBooks available through Emerson Library.
    • The School of Education resource librarian has put together many useful library resources for Education.
  • The Academic Resource Center- This center houses many resources for students, including:
    • The Writing Center - Where you can set up a coaching session to look over your writing.
    • The Online Writing Center - Where you can find many online resources and even e-mail your writing in to a staff member to receive feedback on academic writing (plan ahead for this!)
    • Disability Accommodations - For students needing assistance with physical or learning disabilities.
  • Campus Bookstore - Books for your face-to-face classes, in addition to your Gorlock gear, may be purchases here. For online classes, order your books through the Online Bookstore.
  • Career Services - For assistance discussing employment options and job search strategies for your new future.
  • Financial Aid- For all questions regarding students loans and financial assistance.
    • In cases where a student needs an emergency loan (like to purchase textbooks while waiting for Financial Aid to come through), a student may contact Student Affairs at 314-968-6980.

Webster University Campus Resources and Discounts

This is a list of some of the great resources and discounts you have access to as a Webster University student.

  • Campus Computer Labs - This page includes a list of computer labs available to students on campus and their hours of operation. At present printing is free is campus computer labs (but please keep the environment in mind when selecting what to print).
  • If you would like to improve your skills with particular software packages or learn how to use new ones, you may access free online tutorials through http://www.webster.edu/technology/training/general-software/index.html.
  • Check out campus events on the Events Calendar. Many events are free for students, including all Webster Conservatory performances.
  • Webster University students have access to mane technology discounts, including discounts on some computers, software, and even cellphone plans (AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile).
  • Use your Webster Student ID at other businesses both in and out of St. Louis to get reduced student rates. (For example, the Fox theatre offers $25 rush tickets to some of their shows two hours before curtain.)
