Croatia is a country at the crossroads of Central and Southeast Europe, on the Adriatic Sea. It borders Slovenia to the northwest, Hungary to the northeast, Serbia to the east, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro to the southeast, sharing a maritime border with Italy. Its capital, Zagreb, forms one of the country's primary subdivisions, along with twenty counties. Croatia has an area of 56,594 square kilometres (21,851 square miles) and a population of 4.28 million, most of whom are Roman Catholics.

Second biggest town in the county. It is located in the Virovitica-Podravina County. Slatina is an economic, educational, cultural and tourist place. The potentials of our town are reflected primarily in quality natural resources (sufficient quantities of quality water, forests, unpolluted soil for agricultural production and mineral raw materials) with a very favorable climate suitable for the development of different activities.

Primary school of Josip Kozarac Slatina is educational organisation. There are employed 18 teachers of primary education and 29 teachers of individual subjects. There are also pedagogue, librarian and psychologist. School has 528 pupils from 1. – 8. grade (between 6 and 15 years old) disposed in 31 departments. From 1. – 4. grade we have one teacher education system, and from 5. – 8. grade there are subject teaching education system. Our pupils and teachers are very active in many sport and knowledge contests, and they achieve excellent results. We have team of experienced and well educated teachers, who attend different trainings, educations and are actively included in professional improvement. In this way they learn and apply new techniques and strategies in their classes. Our school is already involved in two Erasmus + KA2 project so the teachers and pupils are familiar with characteristics of Erasmus projects.


Primary school of Josip Kozarac have 453 pupils from 1 . - 8. grade (disposed in 22 departments) and 84 pupils in branch schools (in Donji Meljani, Kozice, Novi Senkovac and Sladojevci)
