Task:
For your next portfolio exhibit, I would like you to design a flyer that combines images and text.

Contrast: My go-to simple text coloring seems to always be a black and white contrast. I also felt that with the wide open background, a simple boxing in of the image could provide contrast against the natural horizontal lines of the nature scene. I also used contrasting font faces, one with a bit more of a script-like sense, and another that is very basic and seems handwritten.
Alignment: Because my eye automatically enjoys center aligned text more, and is more drawn to it, I made the title center aligned. The logo/saying of the shelter is on the left. The bottom information is just under the animals who appear out of the right side in order to contrast the title font. I felt like it flowed well because we read left to right, and the text kind-of mimicked that sense.
Proximity: I felt like the title worked best with some breathing room around the top, and below the centered information. I also kept the kitten and the dog closely together and looking to the left in order to allow for more negative space.
Color: The unsaturated colors of the background and the animals unified the piece, and brought a feel of sympathy towards the animals.
