Left bottom: Photo of my husbands face I liked
Right: Finished Result
Idea :
The original photo is one of our professional pictures from our wedding. Throughout the gallery we got from our photographer, either my husband or myself happened to look goofy in a picture, while the other looked great. So, I decided to merge some of the photographs together to get the perfect shot. Now, because my husband has shorter tied-up hair throughout this photo session, his head was the one that got removed and replaced because it was a simpler process (It's a plus that it makes for a fun exhibit title).
Process:
I first opened the both photos in Photoshop. From there, on my original photo, I selected my husbands brooding face and used the Content-Aware cut feature. Then I went to my second photograph and selected the non-brooding version of my husbands face, copied, and brought it over to my original photo. From there, it took a lot of tweaking to make his new head look right, but in the end I think it turned out great. I opted for a black and white photo in the end, because I felt it made the graphic look more together. I also fixed the horizon line, removed numerous specs of dust from clothing, fixed my husbands tie, etc.
