Worcestershire Disability Football Club is more than just a football club. We provide opportunities for children, young people and adults with disabilities and additional needs to enjoy football in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.
Through football, we help players develop skills, build confidence and become part of a community where everyone is valued and encouraged to achieve their potential.
Our club provides opportunities for players to:
Football helps players challenge themselves, try new things and celebrate their achievements. Through regular sessions, players develop confidence in their abilities, learn to make decisions, become more independent and experience the pride of being part of a team.
Taking part in regular football sessions supports physical health, coordination, movement and overall wellbeing. Players are encouraged to be active, develop new skills and enjoy the benefits that sport can bring to both physical and mental health.
WDFC creates opportunities for players to meet new people, develop friendships and feel part of a supportive community. Our sessions encourage teamwork, communication and positive relationships both on and off the pitch.
Football provides a fun way for players to develop important life skills, including listening, communicating, problem-solving and working together towards shared goals. Players learn the importance of supporting teammates and celebrating each other's successes.
For players who want to progress, we provide opportunities to represent WDFC in competitive fixtures, including participation in the Worcestershire Inclusion Football League. Players can experience match days, develop their football ability and enjoy the excitement of representing their club.
At WDFC, everyone has a place. We welcome players, families, carers, volunteers and supporters to be part of our football family. Our club provides a sense of belonging where people can be themselves, make connections and share their love of football.
As a volunteer-led club, the impact we make is only possible because of the dedication of our coaches, volunteers, families and supporters. Together, we continue to create opportunities and ensure that everyone has the chance to experience the enjoyment and benefits of football.
