Worcestershire Disability Football Club is excited to welcome everyone back for the start of the 2026/27 season on Sunday, 6 September 2026.
This season marks another milestone for the club as we continue to grow, offering more opportunities than ever for players of all ages and abilities.
Our teams for the 2026/27 season include:
Juniors: 6 competitive teams and 2 recreational teams.
Adults: 1 competitive team and 1 recreational team.
Powerchair Football: 1 recreational team.
Our competitive junior and adult teams will once again be taking part in the Worcestershire Inclusion Football League, with monthly league fixtures hosted at Redditch Borough FC, Evesham United FC, and Claines, Worcester.
As always, our focus is on providing a fun, safe and inclusive environment where every player can develop their skills, build confidence, make new friendships and enjoy the game.
We would like to wish all of our players, coaches, volunteers, officials and families the very best for the season ahead. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the pitch and making the 2026/27 season our biggest and best yet!
In 2024, Worcestershire Disability Football Club proudly celebrated 20 years of providing inclusive football opportunities for children, young people and adults across Worcestershire.
Since being established in 2004 by Derek Cunningham and Dave Alban, the club has grown from a small junior football programme into a thriving disability football community, now supporting over 100 members across junior, adult and Powerchair Football pathways.
To mark this incredible milestone, we celebrated the achievements of our players, families, volunteers, coaches and supporters who have helped make WDFC the club it is today. The anniversary was a fantastic opportunity to recognise the dedication and commitment of everyone who has been part of our journey over the past two decades.
From our first sessions to the many teams, friendships and memories created along the way, our 20-year celebration highlighted what makes WDFC special; a community built on inclusion, teamwork and the belief that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy football.
We look forward to continuing to grow, creating more opportunities and inspiring the next generation of players for many years to come.
