Ages 5-16
At Worcestershire Disability Football Club, we welcome children and young people of all abilities to enjoy football in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.
Our junior sessions are designed to give children a positive introduction to football while developing confidence, physical skills and friendships. Through engaging games and age-appropriate coaching, players improve their balance, coordination, communication and teamwork while learning fundamental football skills.
Parents and carers are required to remain on site throughout all junior sessions.
We offer a range of pathways to ensure every child can play at a level that best suits their individual needs and ability.
Our introductory pathway for those developing confidence in football.

Players are placed into the most appropriate group by our coaching team to ensure they receive the right level of challenge, support and enjoyment.
Training takes place at the University of Worcester, St John's Campus, using both the 3G Astroturf.
These secure facilities provide a safe environment where children can enjoy football, explore the space confidently and take time out in a quieter area if needed.
Our junior section is led by Lead Junior Coach, Laura Lillis, and supported by a dedicated team of qualified coaches and volunteers.
Our coaches have extensive experience working with children and young people with additional needs and disabilities. All coaches hold current FA Introduction to Coaching Football and/or UEFA C Licence qualifications (or higher), alongside up-to-date FA Safeguarding Children and FA Emergency First Aid certifications.
Every coach and volunteer has an Enhanced DBS check and is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment where every child can thrive.
Many of our volunteers also use Signalong to support communication, helping ensure our sessions are accessible and inclusive for all players.
This reflects the current FA coaching pathway, where the old Level 1 qualification has been replaced by FA Introduction to Coaching Football, and Level 2 has been replaced by the UEFA C Licence. It also includes the safeguarding and first aid qualifications that are expected of FA Accredited club coaches.
If you would like to find out more about our junior football programme or arrange for your child to attend a session, we'd love to hear from you.

We encourage children to build friendships through fun games, team activities and shared experiences. Our sessions promote communication, teamwork and social interaction, helping players develop confidence and create lasting friendships both on and off the pitch.Â
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved both on and off the pitch. Our competitive teams take part in the Worcestershire Inclusion Football League, giving players the chance to enjoy regular match days in a fun, inclusive and supportive environment.
We also organise a variety of social events throughout the year for players, families and carers, helping everyone build friendships, celebrate achievements and enjoy being part of the Worcestershire Disability Football Club community.
Our FA-qualified coaches provide fun, engaging sessions that help children develop fundamental football skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. Players will improve their dribbling, passing, shooting and teamwork while building confidence, coordination and a lifelong love of the game. Every session is adapted to meet individual needs, ensuring every child can learn, progress and achieve at their own pace.Â
"Thank you so much for giving Emily this opportunity, she often gets left our because of her disability. Your club has made the world of difference."
"The children are all smiling and happy and enjoying each session which speaks volumes for the training they are given"
"The coaches have a real understanding of the abilities of those who join the club and place them in the appropriate team."
