We welcome young people of all abilities who have some form of additional needs.
Our adult teams are split by ability and offer players the chance to socialise, improve skills and enjoy playing football at a fantastic facility. Taking part in a safe and challenging sport helps all our players to become more confident, more considerate towards others and give each of them a real boost to their self-esteem. We describe ourselves as PAN-DISABILITY sport which means we work with a wide range of physical and intellectual difficulties. We have discretion to open our membership to anyone who feels they are not able to take part in mainstream sport for whatever reason.
We train weekly and some players compete competitively in monthly fixtures as part of the
Three Counties Ability Counts League.
TO JOIN - take a look at our CONTACT page and just drop in to one of our training sessions on most Sundays at 1030 till 1200. You will be made very welcome and we can let you know how we work. For further information, please contact Laura on u14coach@wdfc.org
3CACL - Sunday 14th October - Worcester
'Football was back for the All Stars in the Three Counties Ability Counts League. The All Stars found themselves picking up 3 points in their first game back with 2 great solo run goals from Ben and a superb long distance finish from Adam against Monday Night Club Reds. In the second game it was a tough game for our All Stars against a great Aspie Avengers side but there were some standout performances across both games. Mackenzie was at the thick of the game with some great tackling, hold up and passing play. Todd showed some impressive interceptions in 1v1 scenarios and Luke was up and down supporting the team with creative attacking runs and cutting passes. A special shout out to Neal with some fine saves across both matches in crucial moments. The team dug deep as a whole and stuck together until the final whistle.' - Riley
A great morning of football for the newly named Worcestershire Disability Titans team in the Three Counties Ability Counts League, with some new players (Freddie, Dillon and Ioan) getting their first run out, and some old favourites back for another season. The team started slowly, but quietly found their feet as the games against 'Monday Night Club Blues and Our Way Cookley progressed. Altogether they scored a magnificent five goals across both games. The side was constantly organised by Mark at the back who never stopped shouting. Some great saves from Robbie, who then came out of goal and slotted seamlessly into defence. The two Toms tracked their players well and stuck in several solid challenges. Melissa worked hard in midfield and Davis was a constant threat up front, putting lots of pressure on the opposition goalkeeper and defence when they had the ball. A special shout out to Phil who never stopped running, and Liam who bagged the lion’s share of the goals. If we play next time like we finished today, we’re in for a good season.' - Tim
