In 2021, an assessment of the roof was done. The roof on the ice shed and the second storey needed to be replaced with a membrane equivalent to or better than the existing roof. The fascia needed to be replaced to make the roof structure fully weather-tight.
The emergency lighting was found to be inadequate, dated, and not fully functional. We replaced all emergency lighting including the front entrance outdoors, front entrance indoors, entry hallway, main lounge, bar, ice shed entrances, ice shed surface, emergency exits, stairwell, upstairs lounge, kitchen, and meeting room. We also upgraded all signage and illumination.
The roof replacement and emergency lighting projects were completed in June 2022 as Year 1 of this Revitalization Project.
