Our Revitalization Team

This is a major project that will result in over $375,000 worth of upgrades and improvements to our curling centre. This could not have happened without the dedication and efforts of our Revitalization Team.

Project Sponsor, Betty Mattson (ExOfficio), WCC Past-President

Betty was President of the WCC when the insurance company told us we had to replace our roof. She started our work, brought together the team, got us started and has chaired the Revitalization Fund Raising Committee.

Project Manager, Brian Boutilier

Brian has been involved in every renovation and revitalization project at WCC for many years. With his experience managing major construction projects throughout his professional life, he has given freely of his time and talents on this project.

Project Steering Committee  - Tony Stirling, Eddie Peverill, Debbie Boutlier

As the WCC Ice Maker for many years Tony has his finger on all aspects of the curling centre, not just the ice, but the whole operation. He was the person who saw the "roof replacement task" as an opportunity to do some major upgrades and address the excessive use of energy in the club. Eddie became Chair of the House Committee in 2022 and has been instrumental in all aspects of this project. As Rentals Chair, Debbie stays in contact with our community and coordinates the public usage of our facilities.

WCC Secretary/Treasurer Brian Porter

Brian is doing double duty this year as both Treasurer and Secretary. He is responsible for the management of all funds for this project. He receives all monies raised and pays all invoices submitted. He seeks all rebates and grants and manages the "books." The WCC is very dependent on Brian for keeping us on a straight financial path and we are very grateful for his excellent guidance.
