Night at the Museum
We had a great time at the first WEB Valentine Son Dance last Friday night! Here are the highlights:
Nearly 300 people attended, with moms, grandmas, aunts and even big sisters accompanying our kindergarten to 6th grade boys.
We raised $4,300 to support Wayne Elementary School.
The raffle for 2 Husker football tickets against Wisconsin contributed nearly $600 to the total amount raised. One 4th grader was the lucky winner.
More than 20 parents and grandparents donated food and decorations.
Over 70 businesses, organizations, teachers, and individuals donated auction items, discounted services, or in-kind donations to support our event.
A ton of boys danced the whole time!
Our chocolate fountain broke an hour before the start, but we were saved by Misty Beair’s chocolate fountain just in time. Thank you!
We are grateful to everyone who supported our event, from wonderful auction items to delicious cookies and treats! We also thank Matt Wachter for the candid pictures, Angie Rethwisch for the photo booth pics (those will be available in the next couple of weeks), Pinmonkey Entertainment for the DJ services, Jeff Piper for the flyer design, teachers and staff for their auction donations, and so many others in our community listed below. What a wonderful Night at the Museum!
Thank you to all of our generous donors and volunteers!
