Though WayFinders is scout-led, we are a large, multi-level troop ("special interest group"), and we rely heavily on our adult volunteers. Indeed, part of determining wether WayFinders is a good fit is whether the scout's parent/guardian is willing to contribute their time and/or skills to the troop.
👉Parent/Guardian responsibilities: A parent/guardian for each scout is responsible for:
Chaperoning ONE of the MAP monthly in-person meetings per year
Helping their scout lead ONE adventure (in which the scout is "scout-in-charge") per year
We are so appreciative of what you do! You're the reason WayFinders can continue providing our scouts with awesome outdoor opportunities! 💚
In addition to the above requirements, some of our adult volunteers have stepped up to fill an additional role. We are so appreciative of their efforts and talents! 🥰
🙋If you see a role that you think you'd be well-suited to, please reach out to one of the troop leaders! We'd love to help you step into that role!
❓Further more, if you have a question for one of our adult volunteers, please feel free to reach out to them using their WayFinders email.
