WayFinders is an additional troop that middle & high school scouts can join to extend their Girl Scout experience to the outdoors and also give back to nature.  Scouts can continue to be part of their home troop & join us for adventures & service. Or WayFinders can serve as their primary troop.  Each year, the scouts and their parents organize a mix of smaller, local adventures, with 1-2 larger adventures per year.  Meetings to plan logistics are held virtually. Adventures generally incorporate a service project.

In addition, we have a few in-person meetings to focus on:

1) Getting to know each other 

2) Skill Building - to gain the skills necessary for various adventures 

COURAGE, CONFIDENCE, & CHARACTER 

• • Trying new activities and overcoming obstacles when something goes wrong encourages flexible thinking and builds COURAGE.

  • Doing hard things and learning new skills is empowering and creates mental strength, both of which build CONFIDENCE. 

  • Adventuring together with different types of personalities, providing service to others, and giving back to nature all encourage girls to think beyond themselves, which builds CHARACTER.
