Blood Drive: May 19th during School hours!
What is the Magic Battalion?
The Magic Battalion is an Army JROTC Program for Washingtonville High School. Our JROTC Program has been running for over 30 years now. Washingtonville JROTC started in September 1995 and has been a pillar with the WCSD and the community. JROTC is ran by Senior Army Instructor LTC Robert Zizolfo and Army Instructor SFC Joshua Kawski. JROTC allows Cadets to gain leadership skills throughout their time in this program. Cadets can climb through the ranks, starting out as a Private to a First Sergeant. Cadets are also able to move up to Officer ranks if they have the determination and dedication.
What is Cadet of the Quarter?
Cadet of the Quarter is an achievement given to a cadet who demonstrates outstanding leadership, performance, and commitment to our program. These cadets have to be active on our teams, along with our fundraisers and community service. Our Senior Staff, and instructor chooses a new cadet each quarter, preferably a LET1 or LET2. These cadets get a ribbon, and an arc for getting this achivement along with being posted outside the bunker and online on our Instagram and Website.

What Trips do we offer?
The Magic Battalion offers multiple trips that cadets can go on. We have our end of year trip which changes each year, we've been to Gettysburg, DC, and we also go to Six Flags or other amusement parks. Throughout the year we have our Orienteering trip, Fall and Spring FTX, Rappelling, along with other trips like Ice Skating, Amusement Parks, and others.
