What is Awards Night?
Awards Night is another one of our mandatory events. This event takes place towards the end of the year, typically in April. Cadets, and their family come together and sit in the auditorium as Our SAI, AI, and others give awards to various people. These awards vary, some given to multiple people while some awards are only for 1 person in specific. Our instructors and our top 3 go through and pick the people who deserve the awards throughout the school year. It's a very fun night for everyone, watching everyone and their accomplishments! Our Instructors give speeches to everyone, and also give our graduating seniors a spotlight. We have each of our Seniors stand up and announce what they are doing after they graduate high school. After everything is finished we bring everyone into the cafeteria to get some food, and to talk with other cadets and family.
After the awards are given out, our old and new Senior Staff go to the front. Our old staff pins the new ranks on the incoming staff. This is a tradition that we do every year, signifying the change in our Senior Staff.
