Friday Farm Shop
Friday Farm Shop
Selling at the Farmers Market has been a wonderful experience for us. It put us directly in contact with our community and those who are as passionate about local farms and organic food as us. We are so grateful to all those who have supported us and taken us in as vendors and given us the opportunity to work hard to provide quality food to our local community. We believe in buying locally grown organic food, supporting other local farmers, and we enthusiastically embrace the farm-to-table lifestyle. The last four years of selling at Farmers Markets have been amazing. We love our customers and hope they will come visit us at our farm.
We are excited to finally jump into this new opportunity, of having our own Farm Shop open on Fridays from 11-2. We will be selling all the same things that we sold at the market but even more.
Shan's spices, seasonings, and Shan's teas are our specialties. We grow a wide variety of herbs to be used fresh or dried or in herbal tea blends, and we also blend dried herbs to make seasonings.
Honey is another specialty product we can now sell that we couldn't at the market. We have a variety of jar sizes and cut honeycomb. Our honey has unique flavors depending on what was in bloom just before the honey harvest.
We have been farming lemons, mandarins, and avocados for years and as always, we will have these regularly as long as the season lasts. Our cherimoya trees are finally giving us a more substantial harvest than their first few years.
Vegetables and flowers will also be new for us, as are the herb varieties. Although Shannon has had a kitchen herb garden for years for cooking, growing and selling at this level is new—and a little intimidating—but very exciting.
Eggs are one of our regulars as well. We have 30 happy, healthy hens that are 100% cage free, pasture raised, and have the freedom to roam in a very large area with grass and shade and plenty of protein-laden bugs to eat. We supplement their diet with organic feed.
The sunflowers and pumpkins that we grow will sell throughout the fall and early winter, during the harvest and holiday seasons. These are some of our seasonal offerings. We love our holiday Farm Days when we have gift baskets and a wrapping station avaible to make custom gifts for your friends and loved ones.
Our hope is that whatever season it is, and whatever is growing well, we will do our best to bring you the best quality and organically grown food to the you. We have a pick-up location at Hannick Salon in Thousand Oaks (pre-orders only) for our weekly salon Friday pick-ups, we will continue doing this, but have made pick ups at the farm available too for our customers who live close by as well on Thursdays and also on Fridays during the shop hours. Many of our products including teas, spices, seasonings, seasonal blends, honey, and bath and body products are available online. Checkout the online ordering section. All the fruits, vegetables, herbs, eggs, and honey as well as our dried goods, and soaps, candles, and lip balms will be offered in our pickup and delivery service.
