Let's Go Warriors - 300 Memberships is our Goal!
2025 - 2026 Walters Middle School WCC Board Members
This is my third year at Walters and I am excited to work with this amazing team and serve our school. I am a mom to three kids - my son is a eight grader here at Walters and I have two girls at Blacow - a fifth grader and a third grader.
Last year I also served as Walters PTO President and before that as the Secretary. As a former middle school teacher myself, I know how important these years are for our students, families, and staff.
When we aren't at Walters or Blacow, you can find my family at the baseball fields, serving at our church, forcing our kids on hikes, and trying to enjoy life as much as we can!
Cindy Liu
Vice President
I was born in Taiwan and later immigrated to the United States, where I got married and started a family. Two of my children are currently attending Walters Middle School —one in 8th grade and one in 7th grade—and my youngest is in 5th grade at Mattos Elementary.
This is my third year serving on the WCC board and my second consecutive year as the Vice President at Walters.
I enjoy interacting and communicating with people, and I consider it a great blessing to be able to serve the students, teachers, and staff on campus.
I believe that middle school should be more than just routine academics. In a wholesome peer environment, a variety of enriching school activities can make the learning journey more memorable and meaningful for our children.
That’s why I sincerely invite all Walters parents to join the WCC team. Let’s work together to create a safe, warm, creative, and relaxed school environment for our kids.
We need you!
Yuki Hayashi
Treasurer
I'm thrilled to be serving on the Walters Community Connection (WCC) board for my second year. Last year, I had the pleasure of serving as your Secretary, and this year, I'm excited to step into the role of Treasurer.
Walters Middle School holds a very special place in my heart, as I have two amazing children here – an 8th grader and a 6th grader. You might also know my husband, Coach Ryan, who leads our Walters girls' basketball team. Between my full-time work schedule and our busy family life, I'm always looking for every opportunity to dedicate my time and energy to the WCC's vital mission of enriching student and campus life. I truly believe that the more we, as parents, do for our kids, the brighter their future will be.
I look forward to working alongside all of you!
Sindhuja Selvaraj
Secretary
This is my first year on the WCC board and my second year as a Walters parent. I am mom to a rational seventh grader and an unforgiving second grader. Our family loves going on hikes, watching movies, and being forced to work in the garden. 😊
As a first-generation immigrant parent, middle school has been a brand-new experience for my family. I have found myself challenged at times, and that made me appreciate WCC’s role in bringing the students, teachers, and parents together to work towards the community’s education goals and have fun along the way.
I hope we can all participate more actively in WCC this year to let all the students know how much they matter to us.
