Here are some of the AMAZING enrichment opportunities our students have been able to take part in thanks to the support of grants, donations, and of course the Walton PTO!
Former Harlem Globetrotter and Guinness Book of World Records holder Corey the Dribbler thrilled students with his basketball tricks and skills. Walton’s teachers and students joined the fun, and 4th grader Tariq beat Corey at his own game!
Thanks to the PTO and all of our generous parents and businesses who donate to bring in programs like this.
Spot, the Coding Dog and his fantastic handler, Dr. Lori Towle from Code and Circuit visited Walton in Spring 2024. Fourth graders attended a presentation where they learned about robotics and coding, and after the presentation they participated in hands-on STEAM activities. Spot also visited classrooms and attended recess. Every grade got to interact with him and he was very popular.
The event was made possible by the Walton PTO.
Author Norah Dooley did several interactive storytelling exercises with the students and talked about students using curiosity along with their five senses to give detail to their writing.
This program was generously sponsored in part by the Wakefield Cultural Council, a division of the Mass Cultural Council.
Voices of Steel is Wakefield High School's mixed voice a cappella group. This strong group of vocalists were selected into the Varsity Vocals ICHSA 2023 Quarterfinal Competition. Walton's PTO and Wakefield's Choral department banded together to bring these amazing talents to our school.
