We price our beef based on the market price of the steers we sell at the stockyards after the backgrounding process. Website will be updated immediately after. If you do not see it listed please reach out to us.
The amount of take home meat is roughly 60% of the hanging weight which is about 60% of the live weight. The numbers are all approximate. Actual take home is dependent on many factors including cuts selected, fat amount on animal, and actual live weight.
Example:
1200 lbs. (approximate live weight) x .6 = 720 lbs.
720 lbs. x .6= 432 lbs. (Whole)
432 lbs./2= 216 lbs. (Half)
You can expect to need 1 cubic foot for every 35 to 40 pounds of meat. With that you can expect to need about an 8 cubic foot freezer for a half beef and a 16 to 17 cubic foot freezer for a whole.
We process our beef at Southern Integrity Meats in Vinemont, AL.
Our grass fed and grain finished cattle are cattle that are raised on a grass pasture for the entirety of their life. After the weaning process we start to supplement with grain to add marbling and add to the amazing beef flavor!
We currently only offer half and whole beef.
