GOALS
The Wellness Alliance Foundation (WAF) will raise funds to pay for mental wellness services through licensed professionals, and coordinate financial support for transportation to access psychological and medical services (e.g., monetary means to purchase medical prescriptions), and pay for emergency rent and utilities, educational scholarships including tutoring in basic academic skills, courses in English as a Second language, GED preparation, and college tuition. WAF will provide legal guidance and counseling through our network professionals and affiliated institutions.
PROCEDURES:
The Wellness Alliance Foundation, Inc. adheres to strict guidelines for the distribution of funds and reporting.
1) All requests for financial aid requires the completion of one of two application forms: a) for direct financial aid or b) for educational aid.
2) Each application is reviewed by the Foundation: president, vice-president and treasurer/secretary.
3) Each applicant is requested to provide information on additional resources if available to supplement the distribution by the Foundation.
4) The Wellness Alliance Foundation coordinates with other agencies and organizations, if available, to supplement aid provided by the Foundation.
