After getting your starter or a new catch it can be a bit overwhelming to design them! Here's how I (HotCoffee) approach designing a vulpix step-by-step!
The vulpix I caught is a [ Wine / Piebald ]!
First going to draw the vulpix! For this I'm using a base which can be found in Resources!
Next, going to color in the base! Think of bases as the very first layer, it will always be at the bottom of your vulpix design!
Now onto the markings! Going to be using a Rainbow Marking App for this example, so I get to add three markings!
Looking at the base I would like it more if the colors were a bit brighter and saturated. You can add a color overlay over your design/base to change the base color to your liking! It will cost 1 marking slot to do this however!
Ahhh! Much better The wine base looks very nice now! I now have two more Marking slots left!
I chosen to go with some simple stripes along the back and tail!
Looks super cute! Now lastly, time to add piebald!
Unlike other traits, piebald and patches is always on top of a design. It can also be darker or lighter depending on design! So if you have a dark colored vulpix, you can make the piebald a darker color as long as it is the brightest color and vice versa for patches!
With that, I color the lineart and this vulpix is now done!
Hope this little tutorial helps!<3
