I work with the teachHOUSTON program in the College of Natural Science and Math to support their teacher training program.
Two projects on which I am a collaborator, STEMPro and STEM Lead, are supported by Noyce Grants from the National Science Foundation.
Dr. Karen McIntush and I are collaborating on two papers based on the STEMPro program. The first is on how pre-service career-changers experience classroom management in secondary STEM classrooms. The second is about career-changers' motivations to go into secondary STEM teaching and how their prior experiences prepared them to teach.
