Founded in 8 August 2022, the Edinburgh University Visionary Syndicate is the oldest local-level Visionary Syndicate in the Visionary Syndicate of Edinburgh.
History
History
The Edinburgh University Visionary Syndicate is founded in 8 August 2022 when its founder, Bintang Dirya, drafted a plan for what was known then as the VERO Club of the University of Edinburgh. The public announcement date was 24 October 2022 known then as the Edinburgh University VERO Syndicate. The current name, Edinburgh University Visionary Syndicate, was implemented since 31 October 2022.

The University of Edinburgh has not made a Mastodon account, while the University of Aberdeen, the University of Dundee and Edinburgh Napier University made theirs first.
We are the first student group in the University of Edinburgh to use the 'syndicate' structure, prioritising self-organisation and individualism.
