The proposal was accepted by the administration and the tentatively proposed budgeted amount was sanctioned for the benefit of the student community in the college for holding the celebrations such that all the three-year students will be brought under the coverage. In other words, for the next function, it will suffice if the focus is laid on the freshers only and it would hence be of comparatively much less expenditure in future. Also, Sarada Brindam and VSC libraries are formed and such formation will not be a requirement in the future. It is only that the libraries will have to be consolidated in future with new additions of books which serve the VSC goals and objectives. The student community is very thankful to the initiatives taken by the Principal Dr.A.Govardhan and the Vice-Principal Dr.Chenna Kesava Reddy and Prof.Chandra Sekharaiah and the other organizing team members.
2. The series of events in the course of the celebrations were inaugurated by the Principal i/c & Vive-Principal & HOD of Mech. Engg., Dr.Chenna Kesava Reddy. Dr.OBV Ramanaiah, HOD of CSE, Sri.Laxman, Dy. Engineer in the campus and Uma Sankar Goud, Dy. Engineer in the campus and Dr.Venu Gopal, Asst. Prof. in CSE addressed the students on the occasion.
3. Numerous competitions were held and more than 100 students out of the campus strength of ~900 students got prizes. A Book-Exhibition-Cum-Reference Library was inaugurated by Dr.A.Govardhan, Principal in HOD of IT room. He promised that endeavors will be made for separate space for the VSC library which was proposed to be maintained by the students themselves. The encouraging was commendable.
4. Video shows were arranged to motivate the students to follow good models in life. Some of the VCD/DVD shows were "Letter to a Student", "You are the Creator of Your Own Destiny".
5. Sports/Games competitions were also held as Swami Vivekananda envisioned youth who have "muscles of iron and nerves of steel".
6. On 18 March 2010, Revered Swami Shitikantananda Maharaj and Revered Swami Raghunayakananda Maharaj graced the the valedictory function and addressed the students. In his speech, Dr.Govardhan, Principal recalled and summarized the invaluable message of the Distingushed Guests from the Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad. Prizes were distributed to the winners and runners. The many teachers who served as judges also got the inspiring books as mementos.
7. In the Principal's room some students had interactions with the dignitaries from the R.K.Math, Hyderabad, got clarified w.r.t. their doubts and received the message from the Revered Swamijis that the students carry forward the spirit of the celebrations and continue by weekly deliberations and discussions and programmes under the aegis of the newly formed Vivekananda Study Circle and the Sarada Brindam.
8. The expenditure of the 3-month long celebrations was Rs.20,962/- and the administration was quite generous and confident to grant the full expenditure incurred. Kudos to the administration which was very positive and initiative-taking with excellent encouragement. The celebrations required to be held on such a massive scale as the college is located in a rural place, as it is a fledgeling institution and because the culture of celebrating National Youth Day on 12 Jan 2010 and such youth celebrations has to be imbibed by the students.

The Final Note: The organization of the Vivekananda Study Circle and the Sarada Brindam has to be by the students, for the students and of the students. The first time celebrations were held only for guidance with more role play by the organising teachers. Now, it is high time that the students take the cue and fall in line and make the best utilization of the services made by the teachers who served in the organizing committee, in the judges committee, and the administration. The students have to to be concerned, through out the year, about the activities following the model of the Vivekananda Study circle, IIT Madras. They have to develop organizing skills and promote the aims and objectives of the environment created in line with the IIT Madras model. After all, nothing is impossible for the determined that are driven by the will power. It is advised that the Vivekananda Study Circle, JNTUHCEKN, A.P. be taken as an oppurtunity to develop it as an interface between the students of JNTUHCEJ and IITM. The VSC, IITM volunteers will certainly help to guide, and promote the aims and objectives of the VSC. It is only that the students of JNTUHCEJ take inititiatives to establish contact with the organizers of VSC, IITM by visiting the VSC, IITM website and contacting the organizers there. The VSC, IITM organizers are quite well motivated and have developed it with laudably arduous efforts as a sustainable, continuing SIG..
