Nov. 8, 2018 - This website was updated for the last time. It will remain online for a period to inform others who wish to learn from our effort to create a publicly-owned, nonprofit-run arts and recreation center for the entire Plymouth, Michigan community. Our final campaign finance report will be available through Wayne County.
Nov. 7 - The final count of votes in Plymouth Township was published. The PARC proposal was defeated. Therefore, the Plymouth Area Recreational Authority will be dissolved immediately.
The PARC nonprofit's board of directors issued a brief statement that "While we are disappointed in the outcome of yesterday's election, we are exploring every option to keep PARC open."
Nov. 6 - The final count of votes in the City of Plymouth was published. The PARC proposal won the most votes.
Nov. 5 - The Plymouth Voice news site published an editorial calling out the tactics and motivations of those who oppose the PARC millage and Plymouth Township public safety millage.
Nov. 4 - We published this opinion piece about the potential future for the PARC site, written by former City of Plymouth mayor Dan Dwyer, and township resident and former P-CCS School Board member Sheila Paton
Nov. 3 - We interviewed PARC President Don Soenen live on Facebook - view the interview at left or watch it on YouTube! We also held our final drop-in information session at the Plymouth District Library, and our volunteers went all-out with signs and doorhangers.
Nov. 1 - Our second full-page ad in the Plymouth Observer is out - and our half-page ad in the Plymouth Eagle! Also - read the heartfelt piece by Mark Malcolm in the Plymouth Voice.
Oct. 28 - Our first full-page ad in the Plymouth Observer is out!

Check out several new pages on our website that show what will happen if the millage passes or fails, describe how much property owners will pay under the PARC millage, lay out the business case for the PARC millage, and show the formal structure of the Plymouth Area Recreational Authority.

Oct. 6, 2018 - Our statement on the appearance of vandalized Vote Yes signs at unauthorized sites:
We are sorry to report that several of our Vote Yes signs were defaced and placed around town last night. If you see one please let us know and we will contact the property owners; we know already that three of these signs were not authorized by the property owner and will be removed.
If you would like a Vote Yes sign delivered to you please send us a Facebook message or email voteyesforparc@gmail.com. We hope that those who oppose the millage for PARC will use their own resources to voice their opinion, rather than misusing ours.
