Rodrigo Contreras-Arratia

Rodrigo is a volcano seismologist and Assistant Professor at Universidad Católica de Temuco, Chile. He obtained his PhD from the University of Leeds, UK, and has been a member of the Volcano Seismology and Acoustics Working Group since 2015. His research focuses on integrating physics-based models with seismological observations during periods of volcanic unrest. Rodrigo also actively promotes the use of modern software and programming tools for monitoring, as well as stronger collaboration among volcano observatories in developing countries.
