This project aims to analyze wind patterns and spatial simulation to predict where windblown dust accumulates in the Salt Lake Metropolitan area. The project’s objectives are as follows:
• Identify the potential of pollution in the Salt Lake Metropolitan area by using the analyzing tool ArcGIS. While analyzing the possible polluted area, this study will explore, collect, translate and summarize related data using Microsoft Excel 2016 and ArcGIS.
• Demonstrate the wind patterns of the worse air quality months by utilizing WindNinja 3.5.0. and ArcGIS 10.6.1. This research can identify the wind direction and wind speed by choosing a specific date and time via Google Earth Pro and ArcGIS.
• Attain a 3D spatial simulation of the windblown dust through Google Earth Studio and Adobe After Effects CC 2019.
