Here you will find uses for coffee chaff in the garden as well as where to get coffee chaff
What Is Coffee Chaff?
Coffee chaff is the husk of the coffee bean that separates during roasting
Coffee Chaff is great in the garden for:
Mulch: Coffee chaff works well as a lightweight mulch, helping retain soil moisture, suppress weeds, and regulate soil temperature. It also slowly breaks down, adding organic matter to the soil.
Compost: Rich in nitrogen, coffee chaff can be added to compost piles. It contributes to the "green" component, balancing the carbon-rich "brown" materials and speeding up decomposition.
Soil Amendment: When worked into the soil, coffee chaff improves soil structure and aeration, allowing for better root growth and water penetration.
pH Neutral: Unlike coffee grounds, chaff is close to neutral in pH, making it suitable for most garden plants without the risk of acidifying the soil.

When adding to your bed:
It's recommended to use a shovel and dig into your bed. This helps break up the chaff, it tends to mat into a pile, and reduces the risk of it blowing out of your plot.
