VBES (Vikasa Badi Educational Society) invites sincere and service-driven individuals to join its Moderator team for the academic year 2025-26. The Moderator Recruitment is a structured and merit-based selection process conducted annually by the Department of Administration to identify capable students willing to volunteer their time in maintaining discipline, guiding peers, and supporting academic discussions within our learning communities.
Moderation at VBES is not a position of power but one of responsibility, service, and character. Moderators are the bridge between students and the administration, helping maintain a positive, respectful, and academically focused atmosphere in student groups and discussion forums.
The recruitment process is open to students from across the country, including those:
Who have passed at least Intermediate/Class 12 (mandatory)
Who are currently pursuing or have completed their Bachelor’s or higher (preferred)
Who possess a good sense of punctuality, communication, and group ethics
Who are familiar with or willing to learn basic online communication tools
Applicants must have an active email address and Telegram account, as these are used for official correspondence and daily responsibilities. The Moderator role is voluntary and unpaid, meant only for those genuinely interested in student service.
Applications will be classified into three categories:
New Applicants – Candidates applying for the first time
Old Applicants – Candidates who applied in the past but were not selected
Ex-Moderators – Individuals who previously served as Moderators and were officially relieved either due to tenure completion or voluntary resignation
Note: Individuals removed from duty due to serious violations by the Department of Administration are not eligible to apply.
The VBES Moderator selection involves two stages:
All applicants must appear for an online written examination which evaluates their understanding of group responsibility, fairness, communication tone, situational judgment, and logical thinking.
Exam Date: Sunday, 03 August 2025 (Tentative)
Time Slots:
Slot A: 02:00 PM – 04:30 PM
Slot B: 07:00 PM – 09:30 PM
Mode: Online (via secure platform ClassKick)
Device: Mobile phones are allowed. A laptop/desktop is optional but recommended for better usability.
The minimum qualifying scores are:
New Applicants: 60%
Old Applicants: 55%
Ex-Moderators: 50%
This examination is compulsory for all categories. Applicants who fail to appear will be automatically disqualified.
Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be required to undergo a Technical Skills Test, which evaluates their ability to perform basic digital tasks relevant to group moderation. The test will cover:
Basic Email Communication — composing, replying, and forwarding emails with proper tone and clarity
Handling digital announcements — formatting and sharing structured updates or notices
Working with documents and spreadsheets, including:
Creating and editing documents using tools such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs
Managing basic data using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
Formatting content, inserting tables, and ensuring clarity in shared files
The test is designed to assess whether candidates are comfortable with the digital tasks typically expected of a Moderator. All instructions, access details, and schedules for this test will be shared only with shortlisted candidates after the first stage.
Interested candidates must submit their application online by the deadline. Applications submitted after the closing time will not be considered under any circumstances.
