FLIPGRID

It is a user-friendly website that allows students to answer questions or take part in debates through recorded videos. It may be a great benefit for those students who struggle to participate in class because they do not feel confident to do so.

💡 Students may be asked to record and post a video answering a debate question and asking a further question to one of their classmates after watching their video. In this way, they will learn and work collaboratively.

MENTIMETER

This app allows you to create live presentations, questionnaires and word clouds that make daily activities more modern and interactive. It is a great tool to use for brainstorming ideas or getting anonymous questions. 

💡Teachers can use this app to gather information for their needs analysis. For example, by asking "What types of activities help you learn best?" or "Why are you taking this course?". The students can type their answers anonymously and the teacher will have all the information at hand. 

EDUCAPLAY

It is a free educational games generator. You can search and select from the wide catalogue that includes a panoply of subjects, topics and levels or you can create your own attractive resources to revise contents and have fun at the same time!

💡 Students love playing games! Even more when they know they are studying + having fun. My favourite type of game in this app is "Rosco", a wheel with the ABC to revise vocabulary (for example: about Halloween!). You can choose words that start or contain each letter of the alphabet and include a short definition, synonym, audio or image so that students guess it. 

VOKI

It is a fun tool that students can use for homework, classwork or projects. 

Students can create and customize their own characters and what they say, and share with others!

💡This is a great tool to use at the very beginning of the year to give a twist to the typical activity in which the students write a paragraph or share personal information. With this website, students can create their own character and write about themselves so that later on they share their Vokis with their classmates to get to know each other.
