Victoria Gonzales
Hi there! Welcome to my page. I am an undergraduate student pursuing a degree at IUFW in Public Health with a major in Health Services Management. My future career goal is to get into administration in chronic long-term care and skilled nursing, helping our communities' most vulnerable.
I have completed an internship at Northeast Indiana Positive Resource Connection, and while completing my internship, I learned many things regarding grant writing and administrative work. Before coming into my major, I was an EMT-Basic and a 911 Dispatcher for my city. Those roles prepared me for a future in healthcare, along with seeing the disparities when it comes to geriatric care, which led me to this major.
Please explore my page and see where I have been on my education journey and the impacts I have been able to make thus far.

What led me into Health Services Management was realizing I was tired of hearing people upset with the medical system or management, and had no say in the matter. I wanted to improve things and help create a work culture that promoted employee engagement and valued their residents.
Working as an EMT, I saw many things I disagreed with regarding patient care, especially retirement homes, which motivated me to step up and be the change and impact senior care. When I first started this major, I had no idea how much it would fit me like a glove, and I am blessed to have learned what I need to improve the quality of care with our seniors one day.
