In the end, my COM-101 has been a run of up and down hill battles. The course itself had such a heavy variety of a learning experience. Looking back at my english academic career I have never been pushed as hard as I was in this course. And without a doubt, it has impacted me in the best ways. The learning criteria within COM-101 goes far within an educational spectrum from adequately understanding the given prompt to incorporating mixed media into every major assignment. My learning experience throughout this course has opened my eyes when "investigating" each topic and gave me wide range of exploration which enhance my writing to a whole new level.
Without a doubt, I struggled at times within this course. The issue of managing my time played a major role in getting all assignments and prep work done in an orderly fashion. Though I have realized that the pressure that I was under when it came to completing these essays gave a strong sense of motivation. I created a desire to put my best foot forward towards every assignment. I have set goals for myself in the aspect of what I wanted my pieces to convey. I wanted to make sure that my audience felt the same emotion that I felt when writing and pouring my heart out into my work. I have learned that, my audience became a huge part of my writing and it definitely made me second guess wording and theme within each piece.
Overall, this course has shaped not only impacted my writing but it shaped me as a writer all together. I have realized that my full potential was greater that I have ever imagined. I have learned to accept challenges and positively overcome them. Even though I questioned many aspects of this course along the way, I have learned that this course is a chain link to a "big picture". That realization towards the end of the semester helped my editing process tremendously. Looking back at all my struggles and accomplishments I have realized it was all worth it in completing the course.
