Access:
Gymnasium usage is restricted to officially recognized VIC clubs and their members; and other entities as approved by the VICREC.
The Gymnasium may not be used for physical exercise or activity between the hours of 8 and 12 and between 14 and 16 hours during a normal working day, the gymnasium may, however, be used for non physical disciplines such as meditation or any other similar activity between these hours
Noise:
The Clubs commencing activities at 16:00 are requested to keep gym floor noise to a minimum, at least up to 16:30. If complaints are received from those staff occupying the office space in F08 then the gymnasium will not be permitted to be used before 16:30.
During lunch time, the clubs are requested to keep the music to an acceptable level, in order to no disturb the staff in F08 offices.
Weekend:
The gymnasium may not be used during weekends unless prior approval has been obtained from the VICREC and the application is accompanied with a statement from the United Nations Security and Safety Services (UNSSS) stating that the planned activity poses no security problems, and also one from Buildings Management that authorization has been granted to switch on the air conditioning during the use of the gym activity. Air conditioning is essential because there is no in-house medical services available during the weekend and the lack of circulating fresh air can cause drowsiness which could lead to physical accidents.
