I love decorating my home with pillows, but I don't like spending a lot of money on them. That's why I always look for pillow covers that are affordable and stylish. I usually browse online shops or thrift stores for pillow covers that match my color scheme and theme. Sometimes I even make my own pillow covers from old clothes or fabrics. I think pillow covers are a great way to change the look of a room without breaking the bank.
Here’s one simple way to make a no-sew pillow cover:
All you need is a pillow insert or an old decorative pillow you'd like to recover, a piece of fabric about 3 inches larger than the pillow, a hot glue gun, and some hot glue.
Cut a piece of fabric about 3 inches larger than the pillow.
Place your pillow in the center of the fabric you want to use as your cover. Then, use a ruler to measure about 1.5 inches away from the edge of the pillow all the way around. Mark this measurement with a fabric marker or fabric chalk, then cut the fabric into a square or rectangle.
Place your 2 fabric pieces with the right sides together.
Use fabric glue to glue the edges of the fabric together, leaving one side open.
Turn the fabric right side out and insert the pillow.
Fold the open edges of the fabric inwards and glue them together.
Allow the glue to dry completely before using your new pillow cover!
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Happy Crafting!
