As a majority POC community, we center equity and racial justice in our community decisions and efforts. We acknowledge the original stewards of the land on which we live.
We value personal and collective growth that fosters learning, creativity, and flexibility. We encourage continual learning and skill-sharing and foster opportunities for inter-personal growth and development.
We believe that conflict is part of living in community. We believe conflict can be generative. We are committed to navigating conflicts in healthy ways by practicing and growing our group process and conflict resolution skills. We embed a restorative justice culture within our community engagements and use restorative justice practices if/when harm occurs.
We believe in the saying “it takes a village to raise a child” and cultivate a supportive network of care for the children and caregivers in our community. We value children as full members of the community and support their active participation and leadership.
We are committed to learning about and adopting practices that minimize our negative impact on the environment including reducing consumption of energy, water, and other natural resources
