Throughout the season, our individual members volunteer at various school sites and events to build enthusiasm and promote engagement in robotics to the younger generation.
Sophia Vasquez volunteers as an assistant coach for the 4th-6th graders FIRST Lego League at Cerritose Elementary. There, she guides them through their engineering and design process. She also assists them with their new experience coding in Scratch.
At Chatsworth High School, they host league competitions where teams are recognized for different awards, such as solo driving, team driving, and their book. Javier Barahona volunteered to keep track of his team's scheduling and robot battery life.
Javier Barahona attended a one-day tournament at Monroe High School where he coached three teams, ranging from elementary to middle, and provided them with guidance on their robot designs and build. He also attended the drivers meeting as the coach.
