Versmark is an Elective Constitutional Monarchy with a Bicameral Legislature. The Head of State is the Sovereign, who is the Monarch of Versmark. The Head of Government is the Chief Minister who directs and supervises Versmark's ministries.
The government of Versmark is broken up into multiple parts:
The Office of the Sovereign
Parliament
The Ministries
The Judicial Branch
The Sovereign is an elected Monarchial title, who serves as the Head of State. The Sovereign holds some executive powers, as well as some legislative powers as prescribed in the constitution.
Parliament is the Bicameral legislative body that operates within two chambers: the House of Lords and the House of Representatives. All laws, amendments and some policy pass through Parliament in the form of Parliamentary voting sessions and deliberations. The Premier is a position appointed by the Sovereign to oversee Parliament and their operations.
The 6 Ministries of Versmark serve as an executive force in Versmark's government, instituting policy and developing each of their administrative sectors. The Chief Minister serves as an overseer, tasked with maintaining activity and directing major projects. All Ministers are appointed by Parliament.
Tasked with the interpretation and application of Versmarkian Law, the Judicial branch functions through the Magistrates of Versmark. The highest court is the Supreme Court, presided over by the High Magistrate.
